Dan Marr is standing to Save Moulton's Greenbelt on 23rd September 2021

Hey all, As Polling Day is just over 2 weeks away (eek!), I wanted to formally launch my campaign to Save Moulton's Greenbelt on the 23rd September 2021. As you may have seen from my previous post (please see " Save Moulton's Greenbelt - Launch Speech "), like many of my fellow residents I have been frustrated by the recent outline plan made by Miller Homes for up to 120 houses just off Niddries Lane, and I want to make sure that this plan, which is totally outside our Neighbourhood Plan and our Settlement Boundary, does not go ahead. I am looking forward to campaigning over the next few weeks to be your local representative fighting to protect our greenbelt, and by supporting me on the 23rd September, you can send Moulton Parish Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council a clear message: Save Moulton's Greenbelt. Thank you as always, Dan

Moulton Summer Fair - August 2021

Hey all, Just a quick few thoughts today on the wonderful showing from Moulton's 2021 Summer Fair today. There was a great selection of stands including many local arts, crafts, bakers and other traders and looked like business was booming in the rather lovely weather! It looks to be very popular with residents and people having come from further away too. A big thank you to everyone who has put the time and effort into displaying, selling and of course hosting the stalls by the Crow's Nest Cafe and the Royal British Legion. Long may the community spirit continue!

Save Moulton's Greenbelt - Launch Speech

I was pleased to speak to MPC at their August meeting, and below is a transcript of what I said: "I would like to thank the Council for giving me the opportunity to speak this evening. "The recent speculative plans announced by Miller Homes for up to 120 houses is an affront to our fantastic village. The proposals to increase Cheshire West and Chester’s already over-supplied housing rate fixes none of the burning issues around the village, and indeed would only serve to further the issues we have now. Some facilities are already at capacity, we’ve a parking shortage that nearly 200 extra vehicles in the village WON’T fix and suggestions that there will be “no material impact on the operational performance of the local road network” clearly hasn’t spent more than 20 seconds watching how traffic really flows in Moulton. As so many residents said to me during th...
